It's very lucky to be the representative of GuangDong SWITEK Technology Co., Ltd. in VietnamPlas 2025, the largest exhibition of Plastic Industry in the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam held in Ho Chi Minh city. As a sales of the robotic and automation solutions for injection molding, this is my second time to visit Viet Nam and VietNamPlas since 2019, I learned a lot of the injection molding industry from VietNamPlas 2025 and have a better understanding of the IML technology development in VietNam.
As a South-east country, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam has an average temperature of 23°C ~ 25°C and cold drink is very popular among the Vietnamese. We can see that there're coffee shops alone the street and the cold drinks go alone with the meals, which means that there're a huge Potential of IML beverage cups market because an IML beverage cups has a much better quality compared to the thermo-forming cups and is a better choice for the premium brands.
In VietnamPlas 2025, the only IML solution on show is the single cavity 5L bucket IML solution by WELLTEC with their all electric injection molding machine 423SEc/e. Although the single cavity side entry IML solution doesn't show up much new technology of IML production for bucket, but the shining lable of the bucket attracted the attention of the visitors, which was provided by the Chinese IML label producer ZheJiang ZhongYu Science and Technology Co., Ltd.(YZY). Not only YZY, nearly all the key IML label producers in China showed up in the show which include ZheJian Jinyan, JianShu HanLi, Jiangsu Tesion Print. Since the US president Mr. Trump started the tariffs war in 2018, many Chinese entrepreneurs are probing the possibility of having Vietnam as the springboard to the US market and Vietmanese government attracted many investment from China since then. But the new policy of tariffs make it seems not an easy way.
