SWITEK new side entry IML solution for 2 cavities buckets IML production with handle assembly successfully started in the factory of our customer for bulk production.

The new system started up is the 9th IML system of the same for buckets with handle assembly. As the most economic IMl production solution for the buckets with handle, the system integrated the handle assembly unit to the IML robot to have the handle assembly immediately afte the buckets produced to increase the productivity of the system and reduce the label cost. With different size, it's possible to achieve a total cycle time of only 7s for a 2 cavities system of 1L bucket.

Although it's the most economic way to produce an IML bucket with a handle assembled, but it is not easy to have a stable and efficient system which will provide a continued production of the IML buckets. The key to a successful IML system for bucket with handle assembly is that the quality of the mold, a mold of precise injection and easy demoulding will ensure a free picking of the bucket and handles buy the robot and easy assembly, a high quality hot runner system is no doubt the cornerstone to a high quality mould.

Why is 8 Cavities Mold Design the Best Solution for Elbow with Nuts?

According to the experience of working with LESSO group in the automiztion of their PVC/PPR pipe fittings injection production system, we finally decide to have an 8 cavities mold deisgn with 250T injection molding machine because:

  • A 250T injection molding machine with 8 cavities mold design is an economic investment to start up a pipe fittings injection production system.
  • For a pipe fittings auto-injection production system with nut insertion, the weight of the EOAT would be very heavy. An eight cavities solution will perfectly balance the payload of the injection robot and weight of the EOAT.
  • An 8 cavities layout design of the pipe fittings will produce a better mold flow during the injection production of the pipe fittings.
