Haitian group have their new JU18500III/11300 installed for the EIPP production of back door body of automotive with the part picked by a 6 axis servo industrial robot.

EIPP foaming is a popular technology in precise injection production of automotive parts. In this project the new JUPTER series two platen injection molding machine is in EIPP production of the back door body. The weight of the part is 1280g by PP at the total cycle of 67.6s.

The parts picking scheme for large scale injection molding machine such as Jupiter JU18500III/11300 can be either 6 axis servo industrial or SWITEK SW7 Series injection robot which has a payload range from 8kg ~ 75kg for injection molding machine from 550T ~ 4000T. Would be an ideal choice for Jupiter series two platen injection molding machine to provide customers with a turn-key injection automation solutions.

Why is 8 Cavities Mold Design the Best Solution for Elbow with Nuts?

For PVC/PPR pipe fittings with nuts with a diameter of around φ25mm most of the producer will choose an injection molding machine of around 250T and a mold cavities of 8 Cavities, will a more cavities mold design with a larger injection molding machine a better choice for pipe fittings producers?

8 Cavities Pipe Fittings Nut Insertion Automation Solution

According to the experience of working with LESSO group in the automiztion of their PVC/PPR pipe fittings injection production system, we finally decide to have an 8 cavities mold deisgn with 250T injection molding machine because:

  • A 250T injection molding machine with 8 cavities mold design is an economic investment to start up a pipe fittings injection production system.
  • For a pipe fittings auto-injection production system with nut insertion, the weight of the EOAT would be very heavy. An eight cavities solution will perfectly balance the payload of the injection robot and weight of the EOAT.
  • An 8 cavities layout design of the pipe fittings will produce a better mold flow during the injection production of the pipe fittings.

Anyway, to upgrade your PVC/PPR pipe fittings injection molding system you must keep in mind that it's only valuable to have an automation system for bulk production products, which means that one injection molding machine with only one mold to be equipped with one automation system for the pipe fittings' Nut insertion, runner cutting and parts picking.
